In Stereo...

I'll be spending the next couple of weeks working at Posers Art Gallery.  The music mood is a wee bit more mellow here than at my house (where mood dictates music choice).  

Yesterday the combo in the shop was a shuffle between Iron & Wine and Calexico (perfect pair for a rainy day, if you ask me).  This morning was all about The XX.  

But this afternoon, this bright sunny afternoon, is calling for a little Local Natives.  Love it for the gallery, love it more when it follows me home...

I would love to hear what y'all are listening to these days, I have a lot of hours of airspace to fill here, so suggestions would be grand.

Grey Sky Day

After weeks of hot weather, it's kinda nice to have a rainy day like today, even if it is crazy humid out in the world.  It feels like a movie night to me.  Is there a limit to how many times you can watch Casablanca?  I sure hope not... First a run in the rain, then perhaps Ingrid and I will reunite.  Re-reunite?!

Wee Peeps Painting Classes

I got to spend a couple of afternoons this past week hanging out with two of my favorite jr. people - Lil' Miss Ariel and Abdalla.  These two were both students in my last painting class at Posers Gallery, and I was so happy to have another class with them - we spent as much time laughing as we did painting.  Ariel brought the wit and Abdalla brought the silly.  Hilarious. Check out Abdalla on YouTube and that will give you a bit of insight as to why we spent our time giggling.

Goodbye, My Love

This little beauty is enroute to a new home in South Carolina.  The Champagne Mini Dress and a few other items will be missing from my Dove Tree shop for a few months.  The exciting news is that they will be for sale in a sweet little brick and mortar shop called "PackRats" located in West Columbia, South Carolina.  Road trip anyone?

Lovely Lady Friends

Thanks to my lovely lady friend, Megan, we spent the entire day being spoiled on Monday.  Megan entered us into Jack and Ruby's Girls are a Girl's Best Friend contest - and with some lucky fortune, we won!  Here is a bit of a preview from our photo shoot with J&R...

Aside from the fun of visiting Salon Chop and Tracy's Day Spa, we got to spend the entire day with the fantastically talented Kara and Becky - the creative brains behind Jack and Ruby Photography.  I've got to say, I cannot wait to have coffee with these girls sometime soon - we had such a great day together!  Thanks again ladies!

After a bit of work on an order, I'm off to pick up my wee sister from the airport (redheaded cutie in the pics).  An immediate coffee date will follow her pick-up.  I can't wait to see her!
